D: Holy crap that sucks. I hope can fixed, and you don't lose anything.(My dad managed to accidentally wipe my hard drive trying to fix an old computer of mine once. It was an absolute nightmare, but we found a program that managed to get almost everything back.) I have windows 10 on my computer, and I've had no problems with it. Other than some appearance changes, I really haven't noticed any difference from 8 so far.

OP

I'm glad you got most of your stuff back! Losing files is the worst. At least I still have mine, even if I can't do anything with them on my laptop, lol.

I upgraded from Windows 7, and I wondered if that was related, but then it runs fine on my SO's PC, who had Windows 7 previously, too. And yeah, he's had no problems with it either. So I'm suspecting that it might be related to my manufacturer, but really, it's so early, nobody knows anything. :|
