I always make bacon using the microwave. Put it between two sheets of paper towels on a plate and mirowave it until it's crisp. The paper gets a lot of the fat, too. I just have to check a few times if it's done and make sure it doesn't stick to the paper (just lift and turn it with a fork if it starts sticking).
