quite honestly, if they took those elements out (especially that fucking game), the game would've been fine and i'd have virtually no problem with it.

and it's disappointing too because they did a pretty good job expanding naegi's sister and fukawa.

to be fair, not a lot of dangan ronpa fans know about this. i believe it's an added factor (not to say that the OP is happy about the dementia - but would it really be good for her to continue acting as the main antagonist?).

i had no idea of the news about the voice actress... that's absolutely heartbreaking. :( dementia is a horrible, horrible thing and i would never wish it on anyone. she seemed like a very sweet lady, too...

it really is. i know that's not you're intent, op; i really hope the series is done because i don't think a replacement for monokuma is appropriate especially since the gimmick is that "it's scary because it's actually the voice of [beloved children's character]!"

I never watched Danga Ronpa but I'm seriously sick of those character designs after attaching it to an annoying fandom.

imo it's not a bad series (at least the game version, it's fleshed out a lot better) - but do not get me started on the "Chihiro is trans!" ~headcanons~.

It seems to me like Chihiro is better understood in comparison to a closeted transman than an open transwomen. He's biologically male, but he has a similar experience of being made to feel like playing female is the only way he'll be socially accepted, even though that's not who he is. Calling him female doesn't just miss the point; it's insulting.

well, even then because his goal was that after realizing what he's did/doing is cowardice, he's going to go back to being a male (especially since the point is made in his case).

he's implying that women are weak and fragile and that they don't have any bullying problems but until he realized how strong sakura and aoi were, especially since people kept "joking" that sakura's a man based on her looks and the fact that she still sees herself as a woman and dismisses the comments, that's when he realized - "well, okay, what i'm doing is fucked up. i should just be true to myself and get stronger."
