IA with you on most of this. Certain things about Tumblr do make it more interesting than LJ was. But the lack of separation is extremely annoying. I'm pretty sure it's what leads to most of the drama.

If OP was following then obviously they had a lot more exposure to her than glancing at her profile.

No one has a problem with social justice, but SJW are a special breed of bullies and slacktivism so of course they have a problem. They make it their mission to make everyone else feel uncomfortable and judged.

Every once in a blue moon. I used to a lot, but I cut it back when I got a job. But damn if I'm not considering doing so for the nice Blu-ray copies of the Sailor Moon series. Those fucking blu-ray sets, SEPARATE SETS, are $60 a piece. I hate to see how much the box sets will be. D:

Probably a couple of movies, a couple of TV shows and a couple of games a year? I'm not a huge media consumer.

And if it was really good I go buy the source material (when it's complete for TV shows. No more abandoned box sets thank you!)

Exactly. I torrented the first two seasons of Eureka and then just went ahead and bought the whole series because I liked them. The show didn't air in my country anymore by the time I got interested in it.

Torrents and streaming sites are the reason I own so many unopened DVDs and blu-rays, lol. If I like it I buy it, but I don't buy it without knowing whether or not I like it.

I don't think I can explain it in a way that makes sense (to you or even to me, lol), but like I said, I can't separate the thought that "these two people are in love with each other" so if that's left out I find myself feeling like something is missing.

I do totally understand why you would want to focus on their friendship because their friendship is amazing and SO many slash fics focus on the sex and the getting together instead of other (just as important) things.

However, I'm not saying I wouldn't read gen fic with them! The gen fic is probably just as good as the slash fic, the focus is just a bit different.

No where on tumblr says any of that....

The problem is that everyone has a different definition, and SJW can mean "calling out aka bullying about things they find offensive that I don't find offensive".

I torrented the original Thief all the way back in 2004. Thief didn't exist outside of a few copies floating around on eBay at the time. I think I actually still have the ISO, even -- because even after I managed to track down a copy, I used my ISO to preserve the disk. Did the same thing with Thief 2 and my $80 copy of System Shock 2 (it goes double for SS2 because the way SS2's copy protection worked it purposely used bad sectors on the disk, and the grinding noise made my balls recede into my lungs.)

Of course, all three games came out on gog.com a few years back, so I just use my gog account :)

But wasn't Aoba (?) eaten in one of the bad endings? I thought that was exactly what happened in one of the playthroughs.

Maybe I'm confusing that ending with one of their other games. (Which I haven't played but maybe heard about.)
