I'm not sure if this is the same thing, but I have a couple favorite books and things that I hesitate to recommend or even talk about with people I don't have a pretty good guess will appreciate that thing because I just respond to them so personally that having some respectful disagreement with someone who doesn't hold my point of view about it really just isn't fun conversation like it can be with other fandoms I like.
