yeah, early manga animated as Series 0 had some "fun" stuff, like Death-T, but they left out a lot of the Penalty Games.

I firmly believe that the entirety of Season Zero was a drug-induced nightmare Kaiba had while he was recovering from getting Exodia'd.

(And no, I did not come up with this theory because of the Abridged Series. Although I have a hunch that LittleKuriboh would agree with me on this.)
