Re: What are your thoughts on Disney?
(Anonymous) 2015-08-22 09:16 pm (UTC)(link)Don't really have any emotional attachment to any other aspect of Disney. A lot of their work in animation is undeniably extraordinary, but that's not really my scene. And the general conglomerization of media is a real concern (as it is in any other sector) but that's not really a Disney-specific thing, I don't think.
(Related opinion: I'm really, really leery about them adding a Star Wars land to Disneyland)
Re: What are your thoughts on Disney?
I'm leery about it, too, since we know it'll all be one giant fellation of the Original Trilogy (at least throw Clone Wars and Rebels -yes, I know I've stated my opinion about Rebels, but work with me here- a bone, man), but it makes a hell of a lot more sense than the Avatarland boondoggle they got themselves into down at the Animal Kingdom park.
Re: What are your thoughts on Disney?
(Anonymous) 2015-08-23 07:42 am (UTC)(link)I assume it'll be Sequel Trilogy and Original Trilogy, primarily. But my trepidation comes from two sources. Part of it is that I don't know how well they'll do Star Wars Land and what kind of representation of the universe it will be. And that's enough to be leery about. And the other thing is I don't know how well it'll interact with the rest of the park - I mean, it's supposed to be near Frontierland? How's that going to play?
IDK I guess I should have faith in them to figure it out but yeah. it is what it is.
