I used to get along with you, until we grew apart and now I'm starting to realize how narrow minded you can be. It feels like you always dismiss an opinion you don't like as stupid. You can disagree with someone who has different views without saying they're just stupid.

You overreact about ships you don't like and are a huge drama queen about it and generalize all the shippers. I agree with you on hating that one pairing you hate, but shit man, calling them all a creepy cult is just way too far. There are some very nice people who ship that and write it really well, people who understand why people don't like it but they do.

Just because you hate a character in canon doesn't mean that character needs to stop existing or die just for you. Honestly if you state publicly that you think this character shouldn't be in the canon, you gotta expect people will disagree and express themselves. Like geez what did you even expect. How would you feel if someone made a public statement that your character or your fave canon character needs to die? Honestly I should think you of all people would understand what its like to feel defensive about a character you deeply love when people are trashing them.

What fandom is this? I feel like this kind of stuff is happening more frequently in my fandoms recently.

It's a fairly small-ish fandom, so I really would rather not say, tbh. Sorry. I really don't want to call out the person by name.

It does happen a lot, I think. I was also admittedly careful not to be too specific.
