There isn't, but what some people insist is interpret as OBVIOUS discomfort because Dewey is a MAN, I interpreted as regular annoyance because Pearl's personality is the type to get annoyed at anyone acting chummy with you when they barely know you. I don't get it as a ship, but I don't see it as being as bad as an obviously super-gross creepy guy hitting on a repulsed lesbian like the people AYRT was imitating do.
