Hey bitch, I'm 19, I had my kid in November of 2007.

I am not on welfare.
I pay for my child's expenses.
I am with the child's father and we love each other dearly.
I go to college part-time.
I have hobbies.
I have a life.
I love my son more than anything.

Fuck your backward way of thinking. Teen parents can be good parents - age is NO indicator of maturity and/or how well you parent. I get props every day for the schedule I took on and how I balance it all. You try doing what I do daily - I doubt you could, at least not with grace.
So I guess my boyfriend's ADULT parents who were heroin addicts are just exceptions to the "ADULTS ONLY" rule of parenting children? Except SO many people are like that.

All I said was "I think it's horribly selfish for any teenager to bring a child into the world when they don't have the maturity, financial security, or a loving family environment to raise it in." If what you say is true, you're clearly NOT fitting any of that, are you? So why the hell are you freaking out at me? :\

Oh cry me a river. The majority of teenagers are JUST THAT--teenagers. They live with their parents, go to high school, and can't support themselves.

If you CAN, congrats, I hope you have a happy family, now leave me the hell alone, I honestly don't give a shit.

There are teenagers who may not have financial means but tried to be responsible. There are plenty of people out there who aren't financially stable, who don't have family backing them that struggle and make it. Maybe people need to be in the situation to understand it. You're obviously not one of those people because you don't know how hard it is.
If you give up your baby you're "getting rid of the problem"
If you have an abortion you're a murderer
If you have a child and struggle you're irresponsible.

You're really damned if you do and damned if you don't.

Again - you've never been in the situation.
Plenty of right to life people militantly try to enforce their sentiments, sometimes they stand outside abortion clinics to protest.

There are a lot of people against abortion - A LOT.

So? If I felt abortion was the right thing for me, I would do it. And at sixteen, I would have been far too emotionally immature to have a child. In my old province, to get an abortion you needed at least two doctor's notes saying it was for medical reasons. I had a few friends who literally had to make six hour drives to do it. Believe me, I know how controversial it is.

Just because I haven't been in the situation doesn't mean I'm clueless.

If you have the maturity, financial security and a loving family environment, then she's not talking about you. I can understand where she's coming from, though. On average, most teenage parents don't have the aforementioned maturity and financial security (though they may have a loving family) to properly raise a child. If you have all of those things, then kudos to you. You're not part of the average.

But please, if you want to get your point across, swearing and being insulting isn't the way to do it. It just makes you sound less mature than you claim to be.

Yeah she can have kids. Any woman with a turkey baster and cup of semen can potentially get pregnant. But this is not usually an accident, or unexpected, am I right?

Maybe she'll get raped. You can never say "YOU WILL NEVER BE IN THIS SITUATION" to someone, because anything can happen and you can't predict it. Either way, she's welcome to her own opinion, regardless of whether or not she's involved directly.
