Was that where they were going with Jackson before the actor quit? If he were Peter's son, wouldn't he have been born a werewolf?

I don't know why this interests me so much. I have long since given up on the show.

That's where a lot of people think they were going with Jackson, but they didnt really. As for being born a wolf, I think that's not a sure thing. Humans and werewolves died in the Hale fire after all.

Jeff denied it, but said Jackson's story was linked to the Alpha Pack. One of them killed his parents.

I don't know about great sin, but I can see why some people might find it boring and repetitive.

Then again I haven't watched lately, so I'm not sure how accurate this is.

It's not really repetitive if the stories never get to their destinations (or even remotely close in at least one, verging on two of those scenarios) though.

I suppose that's a fair point.

But I don't necessarily think that would stop everyone who already had heard about these scenarios from feeling that way (even though there was never a payoff); they might still think "Well, I see where this is headed."

The Erica to Cora to Malia thing has basically been confirmed by Jeff in a lot of things he said.

And thinking you can just shove a character into a spot without any build up or preamble (espec in Malia's case is kinda gross)

(Anonymous) 2015-08-23 09:58 pm (UTC)(link)
Because how dare Malia take ownership of her own sexuality, rMalian she should totally still be 8 years old.

If that's what you got out of what I'm saying, you got a lot of problems and/or chip on your shoulder.

You = fail at reading comprehension.

I've heard of that, but never heard Jeff say it himself. (Was never one to listen to Jeff's interviews. Not before Wolf Watch anyway, and I think that started after Erica and Cora?)

you can just shove a character into a spot without any build up or preamble

(Not sure how that sentence was supposed to end, but) I mean...you can do it, if you should or not is a different question.

(Anonymous) 2015-08-23 10:11 pm (UTC)(link)
Sorry it should have been Cant*

Haha, that's okay!

...Technically you can, but it doesn't make for great storytelling.

I'm trying to forget Echo House happened, so.

It seems that some people are warming to Stiles/Malia but I don't watch anymore and am not interested in them.

+1

I'm really done with the show for a variety of reasons. But yeah. Echo House doesn't exist to me, either.

I don't know for Malia, but for Cora/Erica, there was a writer who talked about it during a con, they were told to change Erica's name with Cora in the scripts for some scenes.

And I would have been okay with it if they bothered explaining how she survived the fire. I liked Cora, thinking about a little girl who was alone and just ran, heard about someone from her family being alive, finding Laura was alive and dead in the same time, her interaction with Derek and Peter, the Hale Snark of survival...

All they had to do was cut some slow-mo and give her a line or two to explain.

they were told to change Erica's name with Cora in the scripts for some scenes.

That rubs me the wrong way. I did like Cora though, but I don't see what the point of the show introducing her was when they did almost nothing with her character. Like you said, she didn't get any explanation.

Even when she left, she got a one sentence mention. It was underwhelming.

(That icon is bizarre but hilarious.)

Ayrt (and OP)
That's true. It was pretty obvious that Stiles was supposed to be romantically involved with Erica, and when that didn't happen with Cora, and when that didn't happen we finally got Malia. But I still hold to the secret's sentiment that Erica, Cora and Malia are so diferent that the story wouldn't have been the same if either of them had reached the end point.

To be honest Erica and Cora were around for such a short time (and got such little character development) that I'm not sure if that's true or not. Malia I'm not that familiar with since I stopped watching shortly after she had been introduced; I didn't see much of her and Stiles' relationship (though I wouldn't say she's an exact clone or anything, seeing what little I've seen).

But I wouldn't say you're wrong either because I do think what you're saying holds some weight, and that it's a possibility.

(Anonymous) 2015-08-23 10:18 pm (UTC)(link)
True, we didnt get a ton of development for Erica or Cora but I think just looking at their background (and aCora's relationship to Derek) sets the scene for wildly different stories/dynamic.
elaminator: (Teen Wolf: Derek (making decisions is ha)

[personal profile] elaminator 2015-08-23 10:20 pm (UTC)(link)
I'll give you that! If Cora had stayed and hooked up with Stiles it would've made things very different with Derek. (If, you know...Derek was still around for that too, lmao.)
