Yuki (the girl, right?) was the biggest disappointment in that film. It felt like her character growth was losing her natural self and conforming to what a human girl ought to be. You can tell she's sad at first, trying to fit in with her female friends, and eventually she just loses all of her strength. Her character climax was waiting for her "wolfness" to re-emerge but it felt like it never did, her story just fell flat into a high school love confession. wtf.

Ame's was also sad, though a little less frustrating. But I agree, there was no reason why he had to run off. He was still just a kid too.

I mostly felt bad for the mom. After everything, she was alone.

sa

I should add that I do think it's a very good movie. I just didn't like how it played out at the end.

I also expected that climax.

I think it made sense for Ame, because as the mom said herself- 12 or how old he was, isn't mature for a human! But then she realizes that he's already an adult by wolf standard. I like to think that he might have visited her.
