Like there's very definitely racist history for both but they played out in different ways so what might be okay definitions in one place becomes completely not okay in another due to various things that happened? So I would not say they're parallel?

I just don't think that you have the knowledge or standing to do that, as the other anon said. With all the good will in the world.

In that case I agree. Even though I think they're stupid terms I don't care if they continue to be used in American context. It's when they leave the American context and start encroaching on others that I get cranky.
