I do something similar with my fandom crushes, too. I take notice of any likes and dislikes, favorite movies/books/music, etc. just in case I ever meet them and the knowledge comes in handy. Yeah, it's creepy but... /shrugs

I don't think that is that creepy? I mean, they are just fantasies and you are not even doing anything that weird in them. Just using some likes and dislikes to get someone to like you. It isn't like you are drugging them.

That was my thought as well. I guess if you got to spend a large chunk of time with the person in question and could slowly bring up relevant topics it might not be so obvious, but I'm imagining OP bumping into them on the street and screaming “I LIKE -insert celebs favorite thing here-".

But IA with everyone else... It seems like a harmless enough fantasy. You aren't some insufferable creep for wanting to connect with someone.

Lol, there's a f!s-er who lives in the town I've just moved to (guess based on information they've posted) and I'm having fantasies of befriending them based on the information they've posted. So I'm creepy too. But if I actually do approach them I'll try not to be actually creepy.

hey, I do this with rl people I want to befriend. stalk their fb page, try to find links to their other Internet presences, etc.

sometimes I feel like a platonic Nice Guy with this attitude of "I can MAKE them like me with enough effort", but at least I leave ppl alone when they don't return the interest

If I were ever ever YouTube famous then I'd 'jokingly' tweet my celeb crush innapropriate things until they'd have no choice but to react...Yeah.

Oh, I sometimes think about suddenly meeting a celebrity in the street or anywhere and treating them like any other person. Like, never make any reference of their famous activities unless they do it. I often find myself thinking that famous people I like would highly appreciate this.
