I do something similar with my fandom crushes, too. I take notice of any likes and dislikes, favorite movies/books/music, etc. just in case I ever meet them and the knowledge comes in handy. Yeah, it's creepy but... /shrugs

The whole 'oh no this is terrible, I hope we the Japanese don't end up committing horrific war crimes like the Chinese" does sort of suggest a certain approach to things. Along with all the standard 'Nippon stronk, imperialist Americans trying to interfere' stuff.

From what I've heard though the anime has an absolutely tiny amount of nationalism compared to the webnovel which is the sort of extended love letter to imperialism and the army that seems to only exist in nationalists who've never served.

That is one thing about superhero names that annoy me. I have a hard time remember which ones have spaces or not. Spider Man? Spiderman? Also with Dragon Ball Z. Or Dragonball Z? That is why my tags are fucked up. :(
