I feel like the answer to “Will the original fandom be upset?" is always yes and no. I'm not familiar with the show, but I've seen people who hate the thought of this existing and others who are excited for it and the new fans it will bring in.

It bears very little resemblance to the original MUNCLE other than the character names (and nationalities). I thought it was a lot of fun, but it's a pretty violent reboot.

Ah, I've heard that it captures the spirit of the original but that the characters are pretty different. It doesn't surprise me; a lot of these reboots are that way.

And of course, violence sells. (I can't even say I'm not buying in.)
