Yeah, there is almost no butch representation in the media, and even less where they are a real character and not a gag or whatever. I never bought Fuller's excuse, she was made feminine cause that is more marketable.

I just knewwe were going to get lots of snails on "Hannibal". Or that time when Hannibal forced Gideon to eat parts of his own body and I was like "oh, yes, Fuller, ffs, don't take any risks, be that bland that even Disney Channel looks indie next to you".

Uh, there have been several references to Hannibal being in love with Will though. They were not the kind of thing you could miss; last episode Will straight (lol) up asked “Is Hannibal in love with me?" and his psychiatrist answered “Yes".
