I hate him and all the other human characters that aren't Jessie and James. Those two were the bomb and I always wanted them to win.

When I was a kid I hated him with a passion, because I had a crush on Gary. Now I think he's a pretty cool guy.

Can someone who still watches this show tell me how many times this kid has literally died on screen by now? I stopped watching sometime during Johto and I think they were up to at least three, it was getting kind of weird...

I think I had a crush on him as a kid? I still think his naivety and cluelessness is funny and cute.

I had a crush on him when I was younger. But not too young to be embarrassed about it. I'm still pretty fond of him, but I think I owe that to a Livejournal RP I used to be in that had an Ash who was hilarious and really fun to play with, and the player was super nice.

I miss Ash from the beginning of the series, when he was kinda lame and stupid and made mistakes and had some personality. Now he's incredibly bland and toeing the line of perfection, based on the number of times other characters seem to be in awe of something he does. (disclaimer: not a frequent watcher of the anime)

To be honest , looking back I find him as about is bland as cardboard. Honestly the whole appeal of Pokemon for me was imagining being in the world. The world itself.
