No, I'm not adopted. We have two to three hundred year old engravings of ancestors that look just like me. They had brown eyes.

I find it kind of jarring that actors most always have light-colored eyes. Like, it's not that common! How can it be that most movies/shows have predominantly blue- hazel- or green-eyed actors? (I'm glad Ant-Man isn't like that).

Huh, I almost never notice eye colours (unless they're incredibly distinct) -- though of course, almost my entire family has blue eyes, so that definitely won't stand out to me in a film anyway.

I still don't want to see Ant-Man because of what it stands for and it honestly doesn't look that great...but that's good to hear I guess.
As a kid(and a little bit now too I guess) I've been pretty insecure when comes to my eyes.
Everyone in the movies and comicbooks always had blue or green eyes and they always looked so pretty. All the books I read growing up glorified blue or green eyes as well, and I always felt super jealous and wanted a pair of green or blue eyes as my own. It didn't help that I was born a redhead, where being born with brown eyes is actually supposed to be pretty rarer than average. So I felt like on top of that, I got double screwed over. :/
Oh well, c'est le vie.

I'll probably get accused of being an evil tumblr SJW for this...

But I don't like how it represents marvel's unwillingness to make more movies about female or poc superheros. (And yes I know, Black Panter and Captain Marvel are confirmed, but those aren't coming out for 3-4 years.) I'm sorry but there are way more interesting and dynamic superheros you could make a movie about than Antman. It just seems lazy.
But I don't think I would have nearly that much of a problem with it though, if Wasp was at least in it.
But nope! Let's just kill her off screen because haha fuck you Wasp fans. And then at the very end of the movie, let's show you a five second clip of her cool costume just to rub it in even further of what a great opportunity we missed.
I'm sure the acting is great and I'm sure everyone worked hard on it, but for mostly personal reasons, I think the movie is stupid and I won't spend money to see it.

The blue-eyed thing seems to be of big significance re whites, and casting.

White people love blue eyes partly because it's a "special" white person thing (the number of white people incl health professionals I've had compliment me because my babies have had blue eyes and say stuff like "it's so nice to see blue eyes, there's not enough of them around these parts" meaning too many brown skinned people, jeezus), and some non-white people (at least in non-white majority countries) love blue eyes because they're a novelty.

I never noticed. I came from a small town populated by decendents of German immigrants, most people had blue eyes. I tend to find brown more exotic and attractive.

I used to feel inadequate about my dark brown eyes, until I got a pair of realistic-looking blue contact lenses. I put them on and went from my normal Bambi-eyed self to cold and almost intimidating. Ever since, I haven't had any urge to wear them again, and I think my brown eyes are beautiful.

My mother has turquoise-y eyes and she's always disliked them because she thinks they make her look quite cold. I never really saw her that way as my mum, but now I know she thinks that, I can see what she means. Sometimes blue eyes, especially saturated or icy, can make a person look cold.

That's great that you experimented, and came to be okay with what you had :)

I never thought about eye color with actors much. Brown eyes are still pretty common among white people in the US. (Of course Hollywood is saturated with white people but I feel like that's a slightly different issue, if related.)
