(Anonymous) 2015-08-27 12:18 am (UTC)(link)I've seen various secrets posted here, and I've heard various women in real life, complain on how they have a hard time relating or liking female characters because they feel like competition and can't be as "perfect" as them. I don't think I've ever heard a single man say the same thing, expect for the guy in OPs secret.
I'm not doubting it happens, because I'm sure it dose. But considering how even today, most writers and directors put way more effort and thought into their male characters than female, I don't think the issue is nearly as common in both genders as you think they are.
But this is just an observation I've made, feel free to disagree or ignore this.
