...none? What types are there? I'll block specific assholes on WoW so I don't get them in randoms but I can't think of a type.

FPS and armchair military games for example are some of the worse dudebros in the world. Guys in MMORPGs are pretty bad too. That sort of thing.

I guess I only play WoW online so I don't see most of that. And really, I've had no worse problems with male players than female. Hell, the most trouble I ever had when I ran a guild was with a certain female player. She was the fucking worst.

I've been playing MMOs for years and I have to think really hard to recall incidents where I've encountered dudebros. I go into strangers' TeamSpeaks/Mumbles a lot when I'm running content with PUGs and I have yet to get a sigle negative/gross comment about being a girl either.

Every single MMORPG I've played, people are fine. An asshole here or there will exist wherever you are in life. Have you even played MMORPGs?

I'm sorry, what is an "armchair military game?" That could mean a lot of things.

Most FPS players are douches, though, especially in multiplayer.

There's lots of different types, though, based on age, gender, preferred platform, preferred genre, whether they're primarily singleplayer or multiplayer focused, and other factors.

Serious ones.

The obnoxious ones with no social skills, which are scattered throughout every other group

Men. White men in particular, but most male gamers are pretty shitty people.

None and this is a dumb question.

I avoid assholes, but that's unrelated to being a gamer, so.

Any that are assholes, but that goes for all people. I don't avoid people by the genre they're interested in or the particular series... People are allowed to have varied tastes.

Old-school PC gamers of nearly any stripe but especially RPGs.

So what happens when you look in a mirror?

Anybody who acts like they're at a deadly-serious job or, conversely, sits around making fart noises instead of actually progressing. Can also be applied to many other hobbies.

Sociopaths, if I'm able to. And probably any assholes who think it's fine to demean/sexually harass/verbally abuse/stalk me for having ovaries. Or anyone who has nothing better to do than challenge my credibility/status in fandom.
