You ALWAYS have a problem with slash--> het? I genderbend sometimes to make slash into het because I like a pairing's dynamic but two dicks doesn't do it for me the way a dick+vagina does. Also I like them to make babies and mpreg is a squick for me. Just sayin'...it's not necessarily due to "HISS GET THE EVUL SLASH AWAY FROM ME"

Pretty much. Though in the case of Kirk/Bones, to use as an example, I ADORE them as a pair as is. But I also like the idea of Kirk as a woman in the relationship. I just do. Sometimes I seek out fem!Bones paired with male!Kirk. I like the dynamics and the subtle changes involved (with a good writer anyway) when one or both are changed to the opposite gender.
