I have. A ton of them actually. For me, the absurdity of a situation makes it funny. I don't think someone being raped is funny, but something like, say, hand banana, the cheese van rape joke, or 'Frank Gets Raped" are amusing to me. Because the situation is so utterly absurd. The same thing for jokes about any terrible situation, really.

Not intentionally, but I laughed at the "candy is dandy" joke because I thought they meant actual candy. I had no idea. :(

What joke is that? (I know the Ogden Nash couplet "Candy is dandy/But liquor is quicker", but the title puts it in the context of breaking the ice with someone.)

Not exactly? I have laughed at jokes made about tropes in BL a lot though because those tropes are pretty rapey.

Example:

Rape U- the school for all aggressive seme characters. When they graduate their anuses are sewn shut so they can never have anal intercourse again, even by accident.

I find this joke funny because it's more about rigidity of sexual roles and portrayals of gay sex in anime than it is about rape in and of itself.

well, I did once muse about how I could easily replace rape in a comic with hitting the guy in the face with a pie.

This comment made me laugh.

Was joking with a friend once about how we're way more okay with killing people in media than with raping them, and we started riffing on the alternate universe where that's backwards.

I came up with the idea of war movies about the brave men of the rape camps. Alternate-universe Ryan Gosling as the idealistic young rapist who thinks he can rape the problems of the world into submission. Alternate-universe Liam Neeson as the wise old rapist who teaches him that rape isn't that simple, and it may not always be pretty, but it's got to get done anyway. When alternate-universe Neeson is fatally wounded in a freak raping accident at the end of act two, alternate-universe Gosling cradles his dying body and promises to rape like he's never raped before, to honor his memory.

See how creepy that sounds when it's not about murdering people?

Ugh. You have a point. And it gets even weirder when more modern takes with a woman or child swearing vengeance on some evil bastard who needs killing. Like, a kid can still kill someone. But I don't even want to imagine a kid... Yeah. Ick.

Hardest I ever laugh is at rape jokes. Non-dark humour has to work pretty hard to get the same response.
