Re: Nurturing, submissive, or feminine male characters
Sugawara from Haikyuu!! seems the nurturing type since he's always friendly, encouraging his teammates and being a strong support system.
...Maybe Kotetsu from Tiger and Bunny would count too? He's a dad though, and (as an anon has already pointed out) lots of dad characters fit that type.
This is harder than I thought it would be...

Then of course when Sanzo and Goku come into the picture Hakkai keeps doing it. He definitely takes care of the group the best he can.
