11/10 for concept, 8/10 for execution. It's not bad but I think there's more you could do in terms of establishing it firmly as a fan work of the period - I think it needs to be a little more over the top and intense.

Also a minor nitpick but I think the John Woo reference is a little anachronistic? AFAIK he didn't really start to break in the West until The Killer, which was in '89.
