Where are you pulling gendered terms from this? Why are you equating submissive with feminine? I am reading your comments and have no idea what you're talking about.

Adjectives used by the person I'm responding to (with the d/s terms in bold):

* quiet
* submissive
* gentle
* nurturing
* house-husband
* quiet
* gentle
* delicate
* sexually submissive.

All of which are violently gendered in American culture. And if someone adds "submissive" a half-dozen times into this description, it's reasonable ask what's up with that.

And if we're going to talk about media where those men* are represented, it seems reasonable to discuss who those men* actually are and what they have to say about being quiet, gentle, and delicate in a culture that's violently opposed to that.

All of which is starting to feel like OP is embodying the stereotype of the fan who cares a great deal about uke/yaoi fictional gender norms but not about actual gender-nonconforming and nonbinary men*.

* broadly speaking.
