I love television and think it can be great for storytelling and character development, but frankly, lots of series go on too long. They either cram too many episodes into a season (imo very few shows need 24 episode seasons), or have half a dozen (+) seasons and by that point I feel intimidated even thinking about catching up.

So I love tv, but I almost need to be in from the very beginning. (Watching once a week feels more manageable to me than binge-watching 130 episodes. In those cases, if I DO love the show, I'm going to have more incentive to watch and the re-watch won't feel quite so staggering because I already know I'm going to enjoy myself.)
