I did that too. Managed to control myseld for, like, six months. Gave up and upgraded. My character did not turn out as planned at all.

Me too! I'm constantly having to distract myself with other games to keep from caving.

I did that. Well I didn't have a personality panned out but I'd already chosen race, gender and fighting type. Months before I got around to buying it.

Since I'm PC, idk if this rule applies to you, I can't return a game that exceeds my pcs requirements. So I downloaded it first to give it a twirl - see if it runs, see if I can tweak it to run (my PC is only dual). Only when my tweaks got it running reasonably well did I go buy it and actually start playing.

It's still a surprisingly badly optimised game, but maybe this is something you can try to see if your laptop is capable?

OP, be careful. I had a mid-range PC at the time, it ran the game for about 13 hours, then was subject to horrible stuttering and constant crashes. Do not get this game for PC unless you plan on making an absolute monster of a rig.
litalex: Jefferson from John Adams, lounging around (LOL!Jefferson)

I bought the game, only to discover that neither my desktop nor laptop is compatible.
