Never heard of it until now, but just looked it up. One of the complaints is that it had no black actors, but they're also criticizing it for romanticizing colonialism... wouldn't black actors having fun with white people be doing the same thing?

It does seem like it's in bad taste, though.

I've never seen it, to be honest.

I haven't seen Frozen either.

I think the last Disney princess I got super excited for was Mulan. I think I aged out of them to be honest.

I remember the ones I grew up with fondly -- Cinderella, Jasmine, Sleeping Beauty, Belle, Pocohontas, Ariel, Mulan -- but not really the ones that came after (nor Snow White because she kind of creeped me out).

I liked Megara too but she's not considered a princess generally.

I can still appreciate Disney but the attachment isn't there the same way it was when I was a kid.

Nothing in NCIS canon makes my blood boil like the way all of Tony's so-called friends are all but falling over themselves to embrace Tony's abusive, neglectful father and push Tony into letting this undeserving, disrespectful criminal into his life to disappoint and hurt him again. How dare they. Distancing yourself from a parent is painful enough, no matter how aware you are that the relationship is unhealthy and you are just protecting yourself. The last thing anyone needs is the rest of their support system turning on them and preaching blood above all, no matter what they've done to you.

When McGee invaded Tony's privacy and personal information (and probably compromised NCIS security) by giving Senior access to Tony's laptop I could have strangled him. I wanted Senior to turn on the team then, so the narrative and the other characters would actually condemn McGee's action, see the error of their ways, and be sorry they ignored the needs and boundaries of one of their own for the sake of some charming criminal asshole.

DA as "at least I never had the plague" secret. Still, angsty fic recs please? Me and previous anon would be grateful.

I feel the same. Where there's a variety of personalities in a group, the jock-girl is usually the one I'm not interested in. I don't dislike RD but I don't really care for her either.

The most embarrassing thing I’ve done on the internet (so far) is either making a fursona when I was a kid or writing non-satirical politician RPF.
- I knew about furries but didn’t think fursonas were mainly a furry thing because I first saw fursonas on a virtual pet site (dogs)
- I tell myself that RPF was for shits and giggles but I still cringe

OP, I'm curious - have you seen it? I ask because I used to think that too, but I'd never actually seen more than half an episode. The Ross/Rachel stuff is stupid, I agree that aspect is overrated, but it's actually a pretty good show imho.

I really wish people would stop focusing on the problematic issues in k-pop, and that ends up being the majority of the news. I don't need to know all the details. I don't need to know all the nasty things netizens have to say about our problematic faves, especially their thoughts on the girls of k-pop. I'm just here for the music.

I think the reason I’ve never embraced my interest in spy fiction is that I relate to ambiguous allegiances and identities on a pathetically low-stakes level.

So I don’t even want to give people the chance to suspect that aside from liking it for the obvious entertainment value, I maybe fancy myself having things in common with cunning, mysterious fictional spies despite just being an unaffectionate, private person with few close relationships.
