Lots of people seem to have checked out of NCIS because the team seems to get away with too much but I have yet to be bothered by this. HOWEVER, I was thinking that this was my major complaint at the end of CSI Miami - how I hated that the team kept getting away with stuff they really shouldn't.

Does anyone else have a similar experience? What was your limit? Are you good with something in one show but it's too much in another and why do you think that is?

So one of the major complaints (and rightfully so) about Friends is that it's too white and too unrealistic so far as living in NYC is concerned. FS, how would you adapt, update, or reboot a 90's sitcom for today's sensibilities? You can either play it completely serious, or be completely silly about it.

with a bunch of younger people from a very different social background. We drank some awful mixture of energy drinks and Jagermeister and cider apparently. I demanded hugs from everyone and then when I was going away I showed people rude gestures instead of waving my hand while smiling and shouting "best wishes!!"

So it used to be that all the people in my social group identified as women, but in the last few months, literally all of them have come out as either trans men or genderqueer. Of course I support them 100%, and I'm ready to fight anyone who dares missgender them.

But. I miss having girl friends. I miss getting to talk about girl things. I know, it's stupid, but sometimes I'm feeling crampy and I want to talk about it without risking triggering their dysphoria.

So yeah that's all. I need to make new friends (in addition of them ofc)

So this fandom semi-BMF (I guess?) wrote an long opinion about something and considers themselves a relative expert about it. I commented about it and I said, the merest, not even really a, like the slightest disagreement about one aspect while agreeing with the rest...and got a lengthy response telling me that I was absolutely wrong. So I just sent another (anonymous) ask essentially saying, "I was just taking x into account while you focused on just y" and now I'm regretting I said anything at all, while I await the response which will probably be the same as the first. Is it even possible to mildly disagree about things on the internet amongst strangers? I just wanted to share a thought without it being interpreted as a start of an argument, ugh.

And in the early scene where Marty and Jennifer are hanging out in downtwn Hill Valley in 1985, there's what looks like a porn store next to the aerobics place and the movie theater is showing something named "American orgy" or something like that. I saw this movie a million bajillion times as a kid and I never noticed that.

Also, I love how in 1955 the proper response to hitting a boy with your car and knocking him unconscious is to bring him into your house and let him sleep for a bit.

So, I'm getting a new car! It's exciting, except I don't really know much about cars. I've looked up information about several different cars, but opinions are so varied on everything. I'm just going to ask here.

I'm looking for a small car. Like, really small. It's just me, so I don't need much space. It also needs to be able to handle severe winter weather.

Any suggestions? What car do you drive and do you like it? If you don't own a car or don't drive, what's your dream car?
