I believe my grudge against the "Americanisation" I mentioned is that when I was younger it didn't seem like such a big thing here in Australia.

It wasn't that big when I was a kid either and it's still not that big now really, it's just that the supermarkets like to try and peddle Halloween crap more but it doesn't really work since most of the stuff ends up discounted anyway.

It was a bigger event when I was at uni tbh because it was another excuse to go out and get drunk, but this time you could be dressed up as superman and do it!
