I watched season 1 and 2 of Hannibal because there was a good balance of creepy vs. "hahaha can you believe this a real show!?" For me, in season 3, it felt like every other character was being killed and eaten for no other reason than "get it, it's because he's a cannibal." There was also a level of pandering to fans rather than telling a story in season 3 that I didn't like either. I stopped watching after the first few episodes and then the show got cancelled anyway. lol
