Long-time lurker, recently de-anoned(ish). How do I get back to finding a comment no one posted on? Brute searching? Or is there a shortcut I'm not seeing somewhere? It won't show up in the Inbox, if no one responds, correct? Also! How do I do the "Watch/Track" a thread thing? I do not see the icon I am supposed to see, according to the instructions.

Also! Is it bad FS-etiquette to reply to comment day(s) later? I never had these problems when I was anon... :P

Question: did you join the community? I think (it's been a long, long while, I might be wrong) when you join a community you get the entries in your inbox automatically. Again, I could be wrong, but it doesn't appear like I'm tracking f!s either and I always get notifications for new entries.

IDK how anyone else feels, but I don't think so. (Don't worry! It isn't like you replying to a comment a bit late is offensive or anything, lol. I think most people like replies, even if they don't respond.)

...Hell, I'm still engaging in a conversation about Hannibal that started a week ago.

I did join the community. My mind isn't what it used to be, learning new interfaces isn't as simple as I remember it being. :P

That's okay! I still have plenty I don't understand about tumblr and I've been on that site for several years now. (Same for DW, since I'm still not sure about my answer, lol.)

It does feel that way, and a lot of times when you respond 'late' people won't get back to you, but I don't see anything wrong with trying! You might strike up a conversation, you might not.

Actually, it turns out I have struck up a couple convos. MY FELLOW ANONS. It sosososo much easier to track conversations/comment threads this way. Join us. Jooooooooiiiin uuuusss. Haha.

I'm glad you're enjoying yourself so far (and finding people to talk to)! The convenience of being able to keep track of comments and replies is what I love most about having an account. (...And the icons. I'm not going to pretend the icons don't play a part of it.)

I've met a lot of great anons on f!s and I understand that being 'known' can be nerve-wracking so I don't blame anyone for not getting an account, but accounts certainly do have their benefits! I'm always up for new users as well as new anons. (Not that I would know if an anon was new or not...since they're anon.)

NEGL being able to link images inline is great too. I'm still working on the icons.

Again, that is the cutest damn bird. Being able to directly post images in comments is great! I love reaction gifs too so the ease of posting them is lovely.
