Disagree about Thanksgiving. I like it, but I'd say either Halloween or Christmas are the best holidays for me. Although, at Christmas we always did the same Thanskgiving food, so it was like Thanksgiving with added presents and music and pretty decorations.

Thanksgiving is usually when the radio stations start airing their Christmas music, so that's when I start listening to it. I usually put it on when I'm prepping the turkey. Thanksgiving is also when I put up my Christmas tree.

Thanksgiving is like Christmas without the pressure, without the expectations, without most of the cultural and commercial bullshit that is attendant on Christmas. We assign an enormous cultural weight to Christmas but much less to Thanksgiving - that means that Thanksgiving at least has the potential to just be Thanksgiving. For those reasons, I like it much more.
