They are getting rid of Soundcloud altogether. So basically you mostly have to upload your own mixes now. Which, how is that any different than making a downloadable mix? I think I'm just going to go back to doing that.

Whaaaat? I've just belatedly discovered social media mixes sharing.

I liked that you could preview other people's mixes, I feel like I'm less likely to download something out of the blue and load it onto my player unless I feel pretty sure already that I'll like it.

Well, it is still good for that. And I do like it for finding new mixes. It is just going to be more difficult now for uploading them. And all the options for downloading 8tracks mixes seem to have died.

People used to put together the mp3s of the songs on the fanmix plus the covers and then upload it to a site like mediafire. It was a great way to discover new music, and I loved putting the music on my Ipod with the fanmix cover so I'd remember the fandom every time I listened.
