Vigilantism is against the law, but here's Batman doing it anyway. Actually that applies to a lot of superheroes, whether they have powers or not. Add to that property damage, interfering in official business, unlawful entry/breaking and entering, coercion, child endangerment, assault, terrorism, et cetera et cetera et cetera.

you can't really expect superheroes to be burdened by slave morality tbh

It's a Nietzsche reference. I don't know why AYRT used a Nietzsche reference, but it is one.

That explains it. I rate Nietzsche just above Kant in terms of "I don't hate myself enough to read this outside of schoolwork." So it kind of flew over my head.

Kant and Nietzsche both own

but, yes, both are also ridiculously unpleasant to actually read, most of the time

I dislike and disagree with both of them though was my point.

(I'm just going to respond to this post and ignore the other two functionally identical posts)

Nietzsche's reputation as an EDGELORD EDGELORD EDGELORD is probably the worst thing about him. At the same time, it's pretty dumb to let someone's dumbass reputation with a bunch of dumbasses stop you from reading what they've actually written

Was he a weirdo? Oh hell yeah. Do I agree with all, or even most, of what he said? In no way. But at the same time I think he was often an insightful and even a charitable analyst of a lot of things and I think he said a lot of things that were brave or beautiful and I appreciate him for that.
