Actually way back when I saw Mad Max FR in the theatre. Fucking intense, loved it, wish I'd had the opportunity to see it again on the big screen. I saw a large part of the Breakfast Club on the telly the other day, but not all of it. The scene where the teacher locks that dude in the storage room and shames him and tells him to fight him is really intense/savage for a fluffy feelgood film.

That was kind of John Hughes' secret as a director, I think - the ability to go through and have these fun teen movies that are still grounded in extremely real, and often dark, emotional places.
