Re: People who don't really have lives outside of their spouses

I'm actually terrible at making friends and have never had a lot of friends irl, even as a kid/teen. (Like I typically had 1 to 2 friends, but they had friends they liked better than me so we didn't spend much time together.) Then I went away to college, fell out with my last two lingering high school friends (one was off making her own college friends and one started having kids) and was never given the opportunity to properly make friends because I was ostracized immediately and that just turned me off of really making friends in college. Then I moved because I got a job, but five years later all the work friends I made are alcoholics (and I quit drinking) or found someone better to hang out with, so I'm friendless irl again. It kinda sucks but I am used to not having long term or close friend relationships by now.
