After watching the finale, I'm in some ways glad this got cancelled. The ending was perfect, and this way I get to keep fond memories of both the show and fandom. I'm more upset at the idea of it being forgotten than it being cancelled. At the end of the day, I wish more people had seen it so that they could have had the chance to enjoy it too, even if it still meant it got cancelled.

SB: The fandom is still very upset, especially the people I interact with. Saying I'm happy that the show got cancelled, not just accepting but HAPPY, probably won't go down very well.

Same. I liked the pilot quite a bit but never watched any more. And I really like when shows wrap up well when they're cut short.

I loved it and I'm on the fence too for the same reasons. I want moooooooore because Ioan Griffud and the premise was awesome, but they did tie it up very nicely and I do agree that continuing it might have made it sloppy and not as perfect as it was.

If the show had to end the season finale did make a good series finale. I guess I'll always be curious if tptb had figured out why Adam and Henry were immortal and why they came back in water etc etc. (Not to mention how Henry managed to keep his accent for so long)

It was a good show, but do think it'll fade into obscurity pretty quickly, especially since it didn't have much of a fandom when it was airing. Maybe it'll be a perennial Yuletide fandom at least?

man i never watched this show but for some reason I read a fuckton of fic for it. seemed like a good show, will watch someday when it goes on netflix or something.

While I'm not happy that it was canceled, they did manage to end this on a perfect note. I was surprised how happy I was with the final episode. That's one show I'll enjoy rewatching, and not going to be bitter about all the what-could-have-beens. Looking forward to the DVD.

That's kind of where I am with this. The season finale at least didn't leave us hanging on a cliffhanger or something.

I'll miss it because I generally liked the show and I was liking the characters (though I kept hoping Jo and Henry would just stay [crime-fighting] partners but that never seems to happen in these shows). I just really want to know more about the world's mechanics and stuff that we'll never get now.

Also I really wanted to see [highlight for spoiler?] Adam eventually break out of the hospital and be after Henry and everyone that he loves no-holds-barred because lbr what Henry did to him is worse than death.

That said, with shows like that I have to comfort myself with, "at least it went out on a high note instead of slowly spiraling down into a disappointing mess like Bones."
