Text: Perhaps appropriately, I'm torn about the fact that this is going to be a thing.

On the one hand...It was a terrible idea in the comic books, and I have no idea how they can possibly make it work in the movies. It would have been better if they'd avoided it altogether.

But on the other hand...There's a chance this movie could put a dent in Iron Man's popularity, and I for one would welcome more people in the "Tony Stark is an unlikeable ass" camp.

Regardless of the way it turns out, though, I won't be seeing it. I can't deal with all that nonsense again.

Text: I consciously wait weeks or months before looking for fic of movies I’ve just watched if there’s strong slash potential.

Not because I’m not interested in slash. I am, and even if I don’t ship any slash pairings from the canon in question, I like seeing what fandom’s up to.

It’s because I don’t want to feel like “that kind of fangirl”. I’m pretty sure I don’t fetishize or have my slash goggles on too tight, but still.

Book and TV fic, I look up whenever I want regardless of canon.

After watching the finale, I'm in some ways glad this got cancelled. The ending was perfect, and this way I get to keep fond memories of both the show and fandom. I'm more upset at the idea of it being forgotten than it being cancelled. At the end of the day, I wish more people had seen it so that they could have had the chance to enjoy it too, even if it still meant it got cancelled.

SB: The fandom is still very upset, especially the people I interact with. Saying I'm happy that the show got cancelled, not just accepting but HAPPY, probably won't go down very well.

My friends think of me as extroverted and have mentioned a couple of times that they wished they were as confident and out-going when meeting new people as me.

Social interactions make me so anxious that they terrorize me in my goddamn sleep.

But in public I deal by adopting [Fran Fine's] mannerisms as a defence mechanism. I act like Fran and everyone assumes I must be extroverted. The terror comes later.

B!S: I hadn't even realised I do this until I recently re-watched The Nanny and noticed the similarities. I just subconsciously dealt with the anxiety by mimicking the most condient person I've ever seen, I guess. Even if she's fictional.
