I think I do this too, sort of. If my favorite character in the thing I'm currently watching/obsessing over behaves confidently, I'm much more likely to behave confidently. Same goes for other behaviors, but it's most useful when it's confidence, at least for me, as someone who's fairly unconfident in general. Sometimes mirroring, conscious or otherwise, is extremely useful.
