someone's going to bitch you out, but I agree. I think Israel's overstepped, damaged, and heavily marginalized the Palestinians in the Strip, and I think Palestine has some of the worst leaders with the worst intentions. No one comes out of this one looking pretty.

Beyond that, I sit on two things. First, my sympathies are with both the ordinary people in their communities (not particularly their leadership) and second, beyond that opinion, I feel like I don't actually know jack shit and so can't speak beyond that. But it sucks over there.

Seconded. They're the ones that always get forgotten when this debate comes up. If we must be involved in this conflict, I think it'd be good to spend time genuinely hearing what the average citizens actually dealing with the crap day in and day out over there have to say. I sense they'll have a lot more rational and logical suggestions to deal with the conflict than their leaders or any other country not dealing firsthand with this would.

I agree with all of this. There's plenty of fault on both sides, and there's also plenty of innocent people who just want to live their lives.
