I don't like being fandom friends with straight, asexual or non-kinky people. If you get uncomfortable talking about sex or homosex then that's a no-go for me because 90% of fandom for me is about smut and shipping.

Sex-repulsed would be more accurate than asexual here. Homophobic would also be more accurate than straight.

+1

I'm straight and a virgin to boot, and yet I have no issue at all with talking about sex/homosex in fandom. I may not have the firsthand experience, obviously, to speak from, but I'm willing to learn about various things related to both topics and can certainly enjoy a good smutty story involving a pairing I like, straight or not.

Yeah, I know asexual people who are fine with discussing sex, homo or not, especially when its fictional characters. Not all asexuality is sex repulsed asexuality.

Yes, as a straight person, talking about homosex has the same effect on me that sunlight has on vampires. I shrivel up and die. It's my darkest secret. Like Superman and fucking kryptonite.

SHHHHHHHHHH. Dammit, we discussed this at the last meeting. The first rule of straight club...

can't stand self professed "kinky" people but other than that ia

"Self-professed"?

"Self-pro-fucking-fessed"?

I'm with you, anon. The only kinksters I like are the ones who've registered with the National Board of Sexual Fetishes, taken and passed the relevant exams, and received their Certification of Kinkiness. And you better believe I check the dates on those certificates, to make sure they're keeping up on their annual inspections and recertifications.

"Self-professed"... god, you're a wanker.

lmao kinky loser identified

if you're the type of asshat who puts in your tumblr profile that you're ~kinky~ the chances of you being obnoxious increase tenfold, as you've proven here :)

I believe the term you are looking for is "sexually open", OP.

Those other things don't really mean what you think they mean.

Lots of straight people don't mind in the least talking or writing about gay sex. Most slash writers are ruler-straight.

But I'm asexual and I talk about those things... c_c What kind of friends do you have who won't? I think that's a problem with the individual. Just because I don't want to have sex doesn't mean I can't ship, or acknowledge or discuss things. Younger-me was a prude and really rude about them, then older me grew up and realized that was stupid.
