People who complain about the male gaze existing are dumb. Objectification is fine, the issue there not being more for other demographics.

Some degree of what we call objectification is fine and good and natural. The way that it exists in our society today is probably really not. In and of itself, not just because of proportion.

Would you mind expanding? Like at what point do you consider objectification bad?

I'm fine with it as long as it doesn't extend heavily into interactions with real people.

I have to get out of here in a few minutes so probably not right now. But I'll try later on.

It is a pretty difficult thing to tease out - as evidenced by the paucity of our vocabulary here, where we just have the one blanket term "objectification" to use.

I wouldn't mind if it owned up to what it is, but I'm tired of material that pretends to be mainstream and for everyone and then suddenly a camera dives into a woman's ass crack or something. If you're making wank fodder aimed at straight men just admit it.
