I saw a thing on the Yahoo! News headline scroll yesterday about how the Planned Parenthood debate might lead to a government shutdown. 'Cause naturally that's something we'd totally need, I guess.

The Republicans' obsession with the Planned Parenthood/abortion issue in general is indeed one of the biggest reasons I do not want them running the country anytime soon (if ever, presuming they never get off that issue). For a party that likes to harp on about being supportive of limited government, and the pointlessness of regulations, all of those beliefs sure seem to fly out the window REAL quick when it comes to women's health issues.

They threaten us with government shutdown every year. It's old hat at this point and all us federal employees are resigned to the fact that our jobs are under constant threat.
