(Anonymous) 2015-09-11 03:01 am (UTC)(link)I can see the argument that Clinton or Biden would be a little stronger on foreign policy, say, and more likely to be supported and endorsed by the existing Democratic Party.
HOWEVER,
Bernie Sanders is the sort of leader the progressive movement needs. Democrats lately seem to use economic progressives and anti-war voters to gain votes and then throw them overboard once they get in power. There is a difference between a progressive willing to compromise and a moderate only pretending to be progressive intermittently. Bernie can actually mobilize the base, because he's more of the former.
So right now, I lean toward nominating Bernie Sanders to be the new leader of the party. But it's hard for him, sure. He's been an independent for his whole career.
