The first time someone did the bathing suit party for the "I Love You Sincerely" scene in Xenosaga Episode 3.

Well, okay, in normal clothes, I can still appreciate it. But holy hell, all the bikinis... and I'm not just talking about the girls... not to mention that old-fashioned thing Allen insists on wearing...

Yeah, outdated fashion can really ruin the serious mood a show is going for. And I expect bikinis would be even worse.

I didn't mind the bikini bottoms, but... seeing special swimsuit tops covering the pectoral muscles of a ripped cyborg male and a guy with a teenage boy's build was just... strange.
