Re: Dragon Age: Inquisition DLC questions (vague spoilers)
The quests were my main problem with DAI. I hope BioWare switches things up for their next game because if DAI would've had better quests (DA2 even had some nice quests! ...some boring, but seriously, the side-quests were loads better in that game) then it would've been one of my favorite BioWare games. As is I thought it was really strong in certain places, but as far as the actual majority of quests...it was just a letdown.
The hairstyles were such an odd mix. I was surprised as hell to see that they didn't add at least a couple new ones to The Black Emporium, especially considering that was one of the fans biggest complaints. As for the armor, there's some pretty cool armor in the game, but I wouldn't have minded a couple more sets for every race. (And more variety, because a lot of it looks the same.)
I know how you feel, yea. And on top of that BioWare seems to be taking a long ass time to patch their bugs with this game (if they do at all, lmao) so if you get any that are persistent you're just going to have to be patient. I've been lucky in that I haven't had any major bugs (just, like you, crashes, and not all that many of those either), but I bet the DLC would change that. It's probably better to buy and play once everything is patched, but I understand wanting to get through it unspoiled. (And while you're still interested, instead of waiting months later when you might not be so inclined to finish it.)
But the situation does get some sort of resolution- even if that resolution is basically "wait for the next game for an actual resolution".
lmao, I kind of expected that much tbh, because the 'situation' is such a massive one! I figured it was likely that the DLC would only lead us into DA4 a bit more smoothly, but I'm just glad it seems like we got a bit more information on everything.
but since none of the romance options were interesting/available to my character
:( Aww.
Nugs?! Fun and nugs and dwarves could be worse! Maybe. Probably.
Re: Dragon Age: Inquisition DLC questions (vague spoilers)
I thought they were trying to be so strangely "look, we are so MODERN" with their hairstyle choices, with all the under/sidecuts and everything. Seriously, some of the DA2 haisrytles were better. (It was also absolutely impossible for me to rebuild my Hawke to look anything like he did in DA2. That was sad.)
I thought they could definitely have added some more hairstyles. It's kind of pathetic that modders who do these things as a hobby managed to create hairstyles that were leagues better than what was in the game.
I was a bit sad that the schematic of one of the rogue armours in the main game (The one that looked like Merrill's) was only available if you basically ditched the whole temple puzzles when pursuing Samson.
One of the things that annoyed me in Trespasser: You can find a single new set of armour (which looks the same for every class). And it has a silly, terribly rendered huge high collar. And everything slips through it - especially if you have that side cut long hairstyle. It's incredibly annoying.
The number of bugs that have still not been fixed is pretty ridiculous. I will never get about three or four sidequests done because key material or the monsters you have to kill simply don't spawn. There was this quest in Crestwood where you had to go and kill some Drakes - only they never appeared, and even though the latest patch finally said "Hey, we fixed that bug in that Crestwood quest) they still aren't there... And it bugs me (haha) because I'm a bit of completionist in games like these.
It was to be expected, yes, but the way they did it seemed a bit rushed and anticlimatic. But maybe that's just personal taste.
The Nug thing in Descent is an easter egg, actually, so it's not something to do with the plot (that would have been too silly).
Re: Dragon Age: Inquisition DLC questions (vague spoilers)
Yea! I loved my Hawke's at certain angles, but at others...ugh, lol. The hair was entirely wrong (both haircut and facial hair for at least one) so seeing Hawke again was a bit weird. I guess enough time has passed that you can easily write it off as 'Hawke needed a change of style', but I would've liked at least a couple of the same hairstyles. This kind of thing makes me want to use mods.

Welp, I didn't even realize that armor existed... And I was a rogue on my first playthrough, so that would've been nice to have. I don't want to skip the puzzle for storyline reasons! (I sure as hell would otherwise, because it's a fucking pain in the ass.)
And everything slips through it - especially if you have that side cut long hairstyle.
I remember seeing an image of this on tumblr. They should've left the collar out. (Though I imagine it might've looked better if clipping wasn't an issue.)

I know exactly what quest you're talking about. Pretty sure I eventually got the drakes to spawn, but it took a long while. Same with one quest in the The Forbidden Oasis; I had to run around that area for probably two hours and google where the monsters would appear to attempt the drop in a different area. Hopefully in another two months everything will be 'fixed'. (Hahahaha, unlikely. We're nearly a year after the release, so it's about time BioWare.)
I'm a bit of completionist in games like these.
Me too, which drives me up the wall because I feel compelled to do every single repetitive side-quest in every single playthrough. (Some I end up going "fuck it", but most of it gets done.)
But maybe that's just personal taste.
Well...the people who love it are the same! There's no definitive answer, lol. I'm sure my favorite DA DLC is someone else's least favorite.
Ah, I figured it was a small part of a side-quest, something you could overlook. (Now I'm thinking of the Wyvern poop from MOTA.)
