I started watching Gargoyles a few months ago but I got side tracked by getting into wrestling. I should finish the series.

If you do, you should stop before getting to the Goliath Chronicles (or just know that most Gargoyles fans don't consider them canon. You might still enjoy them though).

However, The Hunter's Moon 3-parter that ended the second season (and some would say the entire show) was awesome. It introduced one of my favorite characters.

Please talk to me about Hellboy 2 and the incestuous elven warrior prince.

I love Nuada and everything about the elves. Do you ship Nuada/Nuala? I find that some people are into it and some aren't, so I'm often wary of bringing it up.

(My personal OTP is Nuada/John but I also really like Nuada/Nuala/John.)

I love the Hellboy movies, Nuada was one of my teenage crushes and I ship Nuada/Nuala pretty hard along with Hellboy/Liz.

I waffle about Hellboy/Liz. I just felt like he's not mature enough for her or they ultimately want different things in life. I feel like their trajectory is heading them in different directions and they would part as friends. I guess they didn't develop her side of the romance enough for me.

I also dislike that she chose Hellboy over the world. I know it's supposed to be romantic but I've never warmed to that kind of trope.

OTOH, I could see things developing towards them if they put a little more effort into Liz's side of things and if Hellboy matured. He just seems like a giant teenager, not father or husband material. But it's more of a "not yet" kind of thing. If he did, I think I could see it more.

I get you on his waffling, it was one of the things that annoyed me about him in the second movie because he was being such a butt about actually being with her. But at the same time their relationship wasn't this perfect thing without problems and I kind of liked that.

Ahh we'll be at an impasse on her choosing him over the world, I uh, kind of like that trope a fair bit(not in the sense that it's good mind you, it's just the kind of effed up type of thinking I like with ships sometimes, ha).

I do agree that Liz's side isn't as well developed, which is a shame because it'd be nice to get more of a read on why she loves him.

I absolutely LOATHE "chooses-[blank]-over-the-world". It's not romantic. It's the kind of thing a villain would do - sacrificing other people to save your one twu wuv is not romantic or heroic. Sacrificing yourself? That's a different story.
