Sure, but what makes you think that the community will thrive if we stop allowing anon comments? Clearly if people wanted to sign up for an account, they would. But not everyone wants to, and it's clear by now a lot of people feel safer asking for help for bad situations when they're anon.

Unfortunately I have to agree, though for some things this just isn't the appropriate place. Most of us are sensible enough to say so, though.
